Quality and Indexing Requirements
Journals affiliated with Milano University Press agree to adhere to a set of quality requirements for scientific publication, which are constantly reviewed, revised and expanded to meet the needs of the evolving academic publishing landscape, addressing both long-standing and emerging challenges, and incorporating the latest international best practices. The minimum quality requirements that a journal must meet in order to be published by Milano University Press are derived directly from the admission criteria of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Diamond Open Access Standard (DOAS), the standard for Diamond Open Access Journals resulting from the work of the DIAMAS project. The principles underpinning these requirements are, in particular, research integrity, transparency, fairness and inclusion. The journals section staff support and assist the editorial teams of the journals, from the moment they join the publishing house onwards, providing guidance and tools to help them meet the latest quality requirements, as well as to ensure they are indexed in the leading international databases.
